Q: What are the wedding license requirements to be married in Hawaii?
A. Proof of age is required - by Hawaii state law, you must be at least 18 years of age. Photo identification is required. Blood tests are not required by the State of Hawaii. Grand Hyatt Kauai's wedding coordinator will be happy to assist in setting up your wedding license appointment. License Fee: $60.00 Cash

Q: Do you perform ceremonies on the beach?
A: If you are interested in a "beach wedding", we would be more than happy to recommend a coordinator for you to contact directly.

Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: Yes, our food and beverage experts are happy to create a menu that reflects your wishes. Our experienced team will work with you fulfill your requests.
Q: Can I taste all the food before the wedding?
A: We will provide a complimentary tasting for all confirmed weddings with 100 or more guests. For smaller groups, a tasting will be offered at a discounted rate. All tastings must take place a minimum of two months before your wedding.
Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired. Your wedding specialist will advise any additional costs for the additional time.
Q: Can I have an open bar at the wedding?
A: You can elect to have an open bar, a limited selection of wine and beer or a cash bar. Your wedding specialist will advise you on the costs and inclusions for each.
Q: Do you have suggested vendors for flowers, music, photography, etc?
A: We work on a regular basis with several vendors. Our wedding coordinator will be happy to assist you in working with these suppliers.
Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa?
A: Certainly. We have several locations that are appropriate for these occasions.
Q: Are taxes and gratuities included in the pricing?
A: No, your contract pricing will not include all taxes and gratuities. Please remember, pricing is not final until a signed contract is returned to your wedding specialist.
Q: Can I decorate the reception room?
A: Generally, yes. There will be certain limitations in some rooms, which your wedding specialist can review with you. Allow us to give you ideas and suggestions that have successfully worked in the past.
