Family/Teen Activities

Known for family friendly adventure, the island of Kauai offers activities including hiking, ziplining, horseback riding, bike adventures, ATV mud-buggies that seat 4, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and much more.  Within the resort itself families can find myriad activities from lei making,  ukulele lessons or parrot talk  to simply playing in the water wonderland.  A great family walk, the Mahaulepu Heritage Trail, begins on the cliff across the beach from the resort.  Follow the trail along the cliff for spectacular views of the mountains and ocean.  It’s especially great in winter when the humpback whales are visiting as well.  You can walk as far as you please before turning back, the trail ends after 2.5 miles at Mahaulepu Beach.  An interpretive map can be found at the Concierge Desk.
