What Our Guests Are Saying

Can I give this place six stars? Please make an exception for me!
I just returned fro a weekend away for my man's birthday and I am already dreaming, checking my calendar, and figuring out how to pinch pennies so I can get myself back to the Grand Hyatt and stay.
What Grand Hyatt manages to do well is be a large family friendly and romantic property all at the same time. Usually I feel overwhelmed and swallowed by a big resort and while this place is definitely big, it feels more like wandering than actually getting lost. There's so much to explore, so many private nooks for a couple to steal a moment together. The pools are unbelievable. I could float all day in the saltwater pool if I couldn't get sunburnt.
Also, if you bring your own floatie they will inflate it for you! It's the little things that matter to me.
I can't say enough about this place. This is by far, my favorite resort. In fact, I like it so much, I routinely find myself daydreaming about its majestic pools and perfect gardens during tough work days.
I just returned from my 3rd visit and first with a toddler. From the moment we checked in, we were delighted by the staff. After hearing that our toddler turned 2 on check in day, the receptionist at the front counter gave my 2 year old a little stuffed animal and a coloring book. This might not sound earth moving, but if you saw what kind of smile it brought to my daughters face, you would have felt just how special she made her feel.
We check in to our room and find that we had been upgraded to a full ocean view! What! Are you serious! It only gets better from there.
This resort is heaven on earth (although expensive). A hefty military discount proves that they appreciate those in uniform. If you're looking for a seriously amazing Hawaiian vacation, look no further!
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon 20 years ago, and brought our kids here for their first trip to Kauai. The beauty of the grounds has only improved in that time, and the luxury and relaxation afforded by staying here are unmatched. The property is gorgeous, the staff absolutely delightful from check-in all the way to loading the car at check-out. The pools are a prizewinner for the kids and adults alike. The restaurant choices are excellent (although admittedly expensive), and the club lounge offered a nice breakfast option. We will be back again, and hopefully sooner than another 20 years!
My husband and I visited Kauai from 7/25/14 - 7/29/14 and stayed at the Grand Hyatt. We were greeted right away when we pulled up in our rental car and were given leis made of real flowers. We were early so we couldn't check in right away but they held our bags and there was plenty of room in the bathrooms to change and head to the pool. The pool is huge and there is also a saltwater lagoon on the grounds. There was never really an issue finding a chair by the pool regardless of the time of day. There was also waiter/waitress service by the pool so you didn't have to get up to get a drink or food if you didn't want to. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurants in the hotel were all fantastic! The rooms were very spacious and we had a beautiful ocean view. We were given a complimentary bottle of champagne as it was our anniversary which was a nice touch. There was also free cookies in our room one night and free candies on our last day. Everywhere we went when we told people we were staying at the Hyatt, the response was "why did you leave?!" because the hotel is so nice there is no reason to ever leave if you don't want too. This resort is great for couples but also definitely a good spot for families with children. If we ever return to Kauai (which I hope we do!) We would definitely stay at the Hyatt again!
